Inhouse databases
Online databases
If you need articles from magazines, journals and web-based documents then you can use these databases to find them. You can also access reference and biographical information from a variety of sources. Searching these databases:
- will tell you where to find the articles you are looking for; or
- in many cases they may provide the full article itself to print, download or e-mail.
Some databases require a User ID and password for access. (See note 1).
Don't forget to check the online help for each database and our staff will be happy to help you when you are next in the Library.

CINAHL is a comprehensive source of full text for nursing & allied health journals (See note 1 ) |
| The Directory of Open Access Journals | This Directory lists 1250 titles. 320 of them are searchable at the article level. |
| Emerald | A database of articles on topics such as management, accounting, marketing & healthcare (See note 1 ) |
| FINDarticles.com | An Internet service for finding journal articles - no password needed |
| Oxford Art Online | Subscription database for accessing art resources including artist biographies and images. User ID and Password is required (See note 1) |
| MSDS Australia |
A site providing NOHSC compliant Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), for the Australian market. User ID and Password is required (See note 1). |
| PlantFile Online |
This database has over 2400 commonly used native and ornamental plants includes 42 categories of information for each plant and up to 5 detailed photos. (Horticulture students only. Please contact the Library of your Teacher for access details). |
| Pub Med | Great access to medical journal articles - some full text - no password needed |
| Standards Online | Access selected Australian Standards in full-text. User ID and Password is required (See note 1) |

You will need your current student or staff number (on the back of your student/staff ID card.)

Inhouse databases
A range of databases is available for use in the Bundamba Library only. Ask our staff to assist you. It's quite easy once you know how. To access these databases you may need to borrow a CD-rom from the lending desk at Bundamba Campus.
