Australian Development Scholarships (ADS) are provided by AusAID, the Australian Agency for International Development, for granting access to higher education in Australia to overseas students.
Australian Scholarships is an Australian Government initiative to build partnerships and increase mutual understanding, knowledge and innovation in the Asia Pacific region.
Australian Development Scholarships aims to contribute to long-term development needs of Australia's partner countries to promote good governance, economic growth and human development. Australian Development Scholarships provide people with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive change and influence the development outcomes of their own country, through obtaining tertiary qualifications at participating Australian institutions.
Eligible countries for TAFE Queensland scholarships include Papua New Guinea, Laos, East Timor, New Caledonia, Tahiti, Wallis Island and Tonga.
Successful applicants will have their tuition fees paid and a living allowance will be provided.
Application forms may be obtained from the nearest Australian Embassy or Australian High Commission.
