How to apply

The following steps must be taken to ensure your acceptance into the International course at The Bremer Institute of TAFE.

Step 1 - Apply for Study 
Step 2 - Pay Fees
Step 3 - Receive start date advice
Step 4 - Apply for your student visa
Step 5 - Arrange travel and accommodation
Step 6 - Commence classes
Step 7 - Collect your student health cover membership card

Step 1 - Apply for study

Click on the "apply now" button on the program listing. Complete the course application form for International students [PDF 524kb] and attach relevant supporting documents as requested on the application form. Include a passport-sized photograph on your application form and attach a copy of your passport.

Step 2 - Pay fees

When your application is received, it will be assessed. The International Student Support Officer (ISSO) will reply to you with a Letter of Offer. This may be a conditional offer made on the basis that you meet certain conditions or requirements. These conditions will be stated in the offer.

Step 3 - Receive start date advice

The International Student Support Officer (ISSO) will immediately send you the following items:

Step 4 - Apply for your student visa

You should take the following items to the Australian Embassy to apply for your student visa:

Step 5 - Arrange travel and accommodation

Once you have your student visa you will need to do the following:

Step 6 - Commence classes

You start classes on the first day of the course (unless otherwise advised). If you cannot arrive in time to begin your course, you must advise the International Student Support Officer (ISSO) immediately.

Step 7 - Collect your student health cover membership card

The International Student Support Officer (ISSO) will provide you with your overseas student health cover membership card.
