Fee payment
Full payment is to be made at time of enrolment unless arrangements are made for a payment plan. Payment may be made using cheque/money order, credit card (MasterCard or Visa ), cash or EFTPOS.
Students ARE NOT permitted to attend classes unless they are enrolled. If a student attends class and has not enrolled they will be directed to the Customer Service Centre. If then enrolment has not occurred then the student will be "force enrolled" by the Faculty and all fees, including the 'late fee' will be invoiced to them and are due and payable immediately.
Internet payments
You can now make payments towards your 'Payment Plan" via the internet. Visit Student Self Service to register for online services, view your account details and make a payment via credit card or BPay.
Payment plans
Note: Dropping/withdrawing from a course or a subject does not automatically reduce the debt owed on a Payment Plan. To reduce your debt as a result of withdrawal, students need to apply for a refund at the Customer Service Centre at the time of withdrawal. This application may be refused and the student will still be responsible for the outstanding debt on the payment plan.

Fee exemptions
Extreme financial hardship
If extreme financial hardship is a consideration, students are required to communicate this to the Customer Service Centre Officer for referral to the Institute Counsellor. As a general guide, extreme financial hardship would be indicated in a situation where the student would have to forego food, shelter or a basic necessity of living in order to pay the regulated fees.
Transfer
If a student transfers from one competency to another competency within two weeks of the commencement date, students will be entitled to transfer the fees already paid (may not apply to material fees). Students are required to pay the difference in price between the 2 different competencies. Students may be eligible for a refund for the difference in cost if the new competency is less than the original.
If a student transfers enrolment in a competency to another TAFE Queensland Institute within 2 weeks, students may be entitled to transfer the fees already paid (may not apply to material fees) to the second Institute. Students need to liaise with representatives from the appropriate Faculty at both Institutes to ensure availability of a place to affect the transfer. Students must formally withdraw at the Customer Service Centre of the original Institute before proceeding to enroll at the second Institute with transfer paperwork / information.
Note: As a general rule 'materials fees' will not be transferred and materials may be required to be purchased at the new Institute.
